We have a first grader!!!

Today was Elaina's first day of FIRST grade....  The day was really good.  This year is good in the sense that we all (including her) knew what to expect and were comfortable with the "system."  So, no surprises.....just a nice first day.  There were, of course, all the "first day" events including....

Breakfast....I went looking for a candle and found her "1" candle from when she turned 1.  So, I used it.  I had not even lit it yet.  So, why not..... 

Breakfast was a waffle with powdered sugar (at her request)
